Legal information and self-help tools stay free

Every guide, explanation, deterministic check and self-help tool stays free for parents in England.

The permanent promise

Every public guide, explanation of the law, deterministic check, calculator, letter builder and self-help tool on NOJ is free for parents in England. There is no premium version of the law and no paywall between a parent and the information or tools needed to act.

The families who most need to understand the SEND system often have the least time, money and energy to spare. Charging for the public rescue path would defeat the point of the project, so free access is a structural product rule rather than a temporary offer.

What may be charged for later

NOJ may later offer Plan Check, a separate and optional service in which a person spends time reviewing one particular family’s document. Any charge would pay for that human document-review labour, not for access to legal information or a self-help tool. The free draft-plan checklist will remain available whether or not the optional service launches.

Plan Check is not live and accepts no real plans. It cannot open until the documented privacy, commercial, insurance and customer-terms gates are complete.

Accuracy still matters

Free information still has to be correct. Public claims are sourced and reviewed; see How we source material claims and How we source and verify claims.

If this helped, the most useful free action is to share a guide with another parent or suggest a general topic. Never send a real child’s document or identifying details through the contact lane.
