How this works

Not Our Jurisdiction is public-interest journalism, not legal advice. We explain what public sources say and route personal next steps to IPSEA, SENDIASS, or other qualified help.

Sources first

Public claims come from primary sources where possible: legislation, statutory guidance, official data, tribunal material, watchdog publications, and other banked source records. Every structured reference row carries a source ID before it can be shown.

Two-model gate

Structured reference data only publishes after the required verification gates agree. If a gate rejects, errors or lacks the required evidence, that row stays out of the public site.

Freshness and firewall

Rows carry freshness labels so old underlying data is not made to look current. Before a snapshot can be committed to the site, the firewall scans the YAML for firewalled case framing, placeholders, and forbidden tokens.
